MARC PETIT

Dewzen L.L.C. is managed by Marc Petit from Nashua NH. As a sportsman class bracket racer who has competed in the NHRA and IHRA sanctions, Marc is aware of the challenges facing today’s racer. He is also a CNC machinist with nearly 20 years of experience managing a prototype machine shop. He is now putting his experience in machining to work for you.

Marc began racing in 2001 with a car built by Undercover Chassis, after attending the Frank Hawley School of Drag Racing and earning his Super Competition license. He has attended the Edmond Richardson School of Drag Racing and earned the Quick Rod Championship at New England Dragway in 2004. Marc also won an IHRA Pro-Am race at Skyview Drags in 2009.

in 2011, Marc will be spending much of his time streamlining Dewzen L.L.C. as he is purchasing the machine shop where Dewzen products are made, A.H. Machining. Besides drag racing, Marc enjoyed running trail races. He has recently completed a 1/2 marathon and a 9 mile terrain run. Next year he is signed up for an 8 mile tough mudder obstacle run.

ALIE PETIT

Daughter, Alie Petit, is continuing the family tradition of drag racing in the Jr Dragster class. Alie attended the Edmond Richardson School of Drag Racing in 2004 where she found a knack for "hitting the tree". After a few more years watching from the sidelines, she was able to test her skills again at New England Dragway in 2009. New friends, new experiences and new frustrations in a new-to-us jr dragster has only strengthened her determination. "You lose more than you win." Alie says wryly. "Racing teaches you tolerance." Not a bad thing to learn in life.

Alie is a freshman in high school, plays field hockey on the junior varsity team, belongs to the art club and is an academic student of the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Her hobbies, beside racing, include writing, drawing, listening to music, and of course texting. What do you expect? She's a 14 year old girl. She makes friends easily and loves spending time with them as much as possible. "That's the best thing about the racing environment," she says, "You meet the coolest people and you get to spend a ton of time with them. They really treat you like family." Her biggest goal is to be a Top Alcohol racer for either IHRA or NHRA. Rather than having a "celebrity idol" she looks up to those she knows, and those that teach her how to achieve her goals. "I look up to my dad the most. He's taught me everything I know," she states, "If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be racing right now."

KIM PETIT

As Dewzen L.L.C. is a family operated business, so is Marc's racing team. Team mom at the racetrack is the office manager in charge of paperwork at Dewzen. That's me, Kim Petit. I make many of the day-to-day decisions. I also create the engraving programs for our special order cutsomers.

Writing is my biggest hobby. I am often embroiled in website construction and firing off e-mails. I've been the secretary for our elementary school PTO. I write romance for fun (I have to say it that way because no one pays me to be an author). I also run for excersise with my dog, Benny.

Watching your loved ones win a race is the very best feeling. Helping them, understanding the kind of mind-set it takes to continue in such a competitive sport has given me new perspective. I'm very impressed by my family. I proudly accept being called "crew".
